Compliance Archiving for 8x8 Connect – Nuclei, Inc.

Overview

Nuclei provides 8x8 Connect customers with the ability to automatically export and archive communications taking place within 8x8 Connect, including:

SMS Messages

As a first step, an 8x8 user with the SMS Logs permissions will need to load the "Nuclei Capture: 8x8 SMS Export" browser plugin. Afterwards, the plugin will automatically trigger export of your SMS logs daily into your existing compliance archive.

Messages

The following types of metadata are supported for each SMS message:

Sub Account ID

Mobile Network Code
Status Value
Status Details
Status Error Code
Status Error Message
Status Timestamp
Recipient Phone Number (msisdn)
Source (Origin / SenderID)
Encoding
Creation date
SMS Count

Getting Setup

Installation

Download the Nuclei browser plugin
Open the Chrome browser and navigate to chrome://extensions
Enable "Developer mode" by clicking on the toggle switch in the top right corner.
Click on the "Load unpacked" button in the top left corner
Select the folder containing the downloaded plugin

Usage

Login to https://connect.8x8.com
The browser plugin will automatically trigger export of your SMS logs daily.
A copy of the exported logs will also be sent to the email address associated with your 8x8 Connect account.

Uninstallation

Open the Chrome browser and navigate to chrome://extensions
Locate the "Nuclei Capture: 8x8 SMS Export" plugin and select "Remove"
