Overview
Nuclei provides Microsoft Dynamics customers with the ability to automatically export and archive any business data that is stored within Microsoft Dataverse, including:
- CRM Email
- CRM Email Attachments
- CRM Annotations
- Any other EntityType supported by the Dataverse Web API
As a first step, your Azure admin must authorize the "Compliance Archiving for Dynamics" archiving app. Afterwards, Nuclei will automatically retrieve and export Microsoft Dynamics content into your existing compliance archive.

- Safe Description (Body Text)

CRM Email Attachments
The following types of metadata are supported for each email attachment:
- Attachment ID
- Body
- File Name
- File Size
- MIME Type
- Subject
CRM Annotations
The following types of metadata are supported for each note:
- Annotation ID
- Created On
- Document Body
- File Name
- File Size
- Language ID
- MIME Type
- Note Text
- Subject

The following archiving destinations are supported for Microsoft Dynamics archiving:

Getting Setup
Preparation
To obtain your environment URL:
- Login to the Power Platform Admin Center
- Select "Environments"
- Select the target environment
- The "Environment URL" is available in the Details pane
Setup Tasks
- Authorize the archiving app
- Create a security role
- Create an application user
Authorize the archiving app
After providing Nuclei with your environment URL, Nuclei will provide you with the URL that can be used to authorize the archiving app:
Select "Accept" to authorize the archiving application. Afterwards, to view the application:
- Login to the Microsoft Azure Admin Portal
- Navigate to "Enterprise applications"
- Select "Compliance Archiving for Dataverse"
You will need the "Application ID" when completing the "Create an Application User" step below.
Create an Security Role
In order to access Microsoft Dynamics content, you will also need to create a Security Role:
- Login to the Power Platform Admin Center
- Select "Environments"
- Select the target environment
- Select "Settings"
- Dropdown "Users + permissions"
- Select "Security roles"
- Select "New role"
- Enter a "Role Name"
- Navigate to the "Core Records" tab
- For "Activity", set "Read" access to "Organization"
- For "Note", set "Read" access to "Organization"
- Navigate to the "Business Management" tab
- For "Read License Info", set "Read" access to "Organization"
- Navigate to the "Custom Entities" tab
- For "Activity File Attachment", set "Read" access to "Organization"
- Select "Save and Close"
Create an Application User
In order for the application to access Microsoft Dynamics content, you will also need to create an Application User:
- Login to the Power Platform Admin Center
- Select "Environments"
- Select the target environment
- Select "Settings"
- Dropdown "Users + permissions"
- Select "Application users"
- Select "New app user"
- Select "Add an app"
- Enter the Application ID of the archiving app, and then select "Add"
- Select the correct "Business unit"
- Assign the previously created security role to the application user
- Select "Create"
Uninstallation
Create a new deprovisioning request with Nuclei.
