Compliance Archiving for Anthropic Claude Enterprise

Overview

Nuclei provides Anthropic Claude Enterprise customers with the ability to automatically export and archive Claude communications for review, retention, and downstream archive delivery.

This integration uses Anthropic's Compliance API and currently supports:

  • Claude chats
  • Chat messages
  • Message attachments
  • Generated artifacts associated with messages

Current support is intentionally focused on Claude communication streams. Before enabling capture, a Claude Enterprise admin must generate a Compliance API key and use it to authorize the Anthropic Claude feed in Nuclei. Once authorization is complete, Nuclei will begin collecting supported content on a recurring sync schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Claude Enterprise
  • Access to Anthropic's Compliance API
  • A Claude admin who can generate and manage Compliance API credentials
  • A Nuclei environment with Compliance Archiving enabled

 

Scope

Chats and Messages

Claude chats and individual chat messages are supported for archiving. The following metadata is available for archived chat activity:

  • Chat ID
  • Chat name
  • Chat created at
  • Chat updated at
  • Organization ID
  • Organization UUID
  • Project ID when present
  • User ID
  • User email
  • Message ID
  • Message role
  • Message created at
  • Message content

Message Attachments

Files attached to Claude messages are supported for archiving. The following metadata is available when provided by Anthropic:

  • File ID
  • File name
  • MIME type
  • Related chat ID
  • Related message ID

Generated Artifacts

Artifacts generated within Claude chats are archived as media attached to the related message record. The following metadata is available when provided by Anthropic:

  • Artifact ID
  • Artifact version ID
  • Artifact title
  • Artifact type
  • Related chat ID
  • Related message ID

 

Getting Setup

Anthropic Claude

To enable the Anthropic Compliance API, a Claude Enterprise admin must create a Compliance API key:

  1. Sign in to Claude with an Enterprise admin account.

  2. Open Claude Data Management settings:

    https://claude.ai/settings/data-management

  3. Create or copy a Compliance API key for Nuclei.
  4. Store the key securely. It will be needed to authorize the feed in Nuclei.

If your Anthropic workspace requires additional enablement before Compliance API keys can be used, contact Anthropic support or your Anthropic account team.

Nuclei

After enabling access in Anthropic, create and authorize the feed in Nuclei:

  1. Sign in to https://app.nuclei.ai.
  2. Open Configuration > Sources.
  3. Select New.
  4. Select the Anthropic Claude source type.
  5. Optionally add a description for the feed.
  6. Save the feed.
  7. Select Create Authorization.
  8. Paste the Anthropic Compliance API key.
  9. Save the authorization and enable capture.

Once enabled, Nuclei will begin syncing supported Claude content automatically.

Uninstallation

Nuclei

To pause or disable capture in Nuclei:

  1. Sign in to https://app.nuclei.ai.
  2. Open Configuration > Sources.
  3. Open the relevant Anthropic Claude feed.
  4. Disable capture or remove the authorization.

Anthropic Claude

To revoke Nuclei's access to the Anthropic Compliance API:

  1. Sign in to Claude with an Enterprise admin account.

  2. Open Claude Data Management settings:

    https://claude.ai/settings/data-management

  3. Revoke or delete the Compliance API key associated with Nuclei.
