Overview
Nuclei provides Smarsh customers with the ability to automatically export and archive content from any supported Nuclei content source directly into the Smarsh Enterprise Archive.
As a first step, your Smarsh Enterprise Archive administrator must complete configuration of a new "Content Source" in Enterprise Archive. Afterwards, Nuclei will automatically export content directly into Enterprise Archive using the Data Ingestion API.
Prerequisites
- Nuclei Capture
- Smarsh Enteprise Archive
Getting Setup
Configuration
- Login to Enterprise Archive
- Navigate to "Archive Management"
- Select "Content Sources"
- Select "Add Content Source"
- Complete all fields:
- Cluster Name
- Enter: "nuclei"
- Secret Key
- (Automatically generated)
- Cluster Description
- Enter: "Nuclei Capture"
- Endpoint Name
- Enter: "nuclei"
- Source Type
- Select "Generic Capture"
- Password
- Enter your desired password for the Content Source
- Cluster Name
- Select Save
Configure Destination in Nuclei
- Login to the Nuclei Destinations
- Click on "New" in the top right
- Select "Smarsh Enterprise Archive" from the dropdown
- Enter all required information related to the new Content Source
- Click Create Destination
- Assign the destination to the capture source.
API Endpoint URL
To log into Enterprise Archive, you will access a URL similar to this:
- https://nuclei.ea.mt2.us-east-1.aws.smarsh.cloud/
To configure the API Endpoint in Nuclei, it will need to be changed to include the 'dig' string after the company prefix:
- nuclei.dig.ea.mt2.us-east-1.aws.smarsh.cloud
