Archiving - Mimecast - SMTP Relay Configuration

Overview 

This guide provides an overview of the configuration settings required in Mimecast for enabling the outbound SMTP relay feature. The outbound SMTP relay feature is used for compliance archives that require submission over SMTP.

• Mimecast Administrator

1. Add Nuclei IP Addresses to "Authorized Outbounds" (outbound SMTP relay feature)

Getting Setup

Add Nuclei IP Addresses to Authorized Outbounds

Review the configuration requirements outlined in the following help center article:

Mimecaster Central - Maintaining Authorized Outbound Addresses

Ensure that Nuclei's IP addresses have been added and are visible on the Authorized Outbounds list.

Journaling Configuration

• Journal Type should be Standard EML Format
• Enable the check for Journal Non Internal Addresses
