Overview
Nuclei provides Google Workspace customers with the ability to automatically export and archive all communications occurring within Gmail, including:
- Email Messages
As a first step, third-party email archiving must be configured in the Google Workspace admin portal. Afterwards, Nuclei will automatically export Gmail messages into your existing compliance archive.
Nuclei will also automatically de-duplicate messages sent to multiple participants to ensure that a single copy of each message exists in the archive.

Scope
Email Messages
Email messages for all Gmail users are supported for archiving. The following types of metadata are supported for each message:
- Message ID
- Date
- Sender Email Address
- Recipients Email Addresses
- Subject
- Text Content
- HTML Content
Supported Archives
The following archiving destinations are supported for Gmail archiving:
- ACA ComplianceAlpha
- Dell EMC SourceOne
- Global Relay Archive
- Microsoft Purview
- Mimecast Cloud Archive
- Proofpoint Enterprise Archive
- Smarsh Digital Safe
- Smarsh Enterprise Archive
- Smarsh Professional Archive
- Veritas Enterprise Vault
- ZL Unified Archive
Getting Setup
Google Workspace
To enable archiving you must configure third-party email archiving in Google Workspace:
- Login to https://admin.google.com
- Select "Apps" > "Google Workspace" > "Gmail"
- Select "Routing"
- Select "Configure" next to "Third-party email archiving"
- Select "Send journal messages to this email address"
- Enter the target address provided by Nuclei
- Select "Save"
Nuclei will automatically de-duplicate messages sent to multiple participants to ensure that a single copy of each message exists in the archive.
Uninstallation
Please create a new deprovisioning request with Nuclei.
