Compliance Archiving for Bloomberg

Overview

Nuclei provides Bloomberg customers with the ability to automatically export and archive all communications occurring within Bloomberg, including:  

• Bloomberg Mail
• Instant Bloomberg

As a first step, your Bloomberg admin works with Bloomberg to setup a Bloomberg SFTP site, and to configure automatic export of Bloomberg data to the SFTP site. Afterwards, you must provide Nuclei with credentials provided by Bloomberg for communicating with the SFTP site. Once complete, Nuclei will automatically import your organizations content and related activity. Content can be retained with Nuclei, or exported for review and retention in your existing compliance archive.

• Bloomberg Hosted SFTP credentials

Scope

Bloomberg Mail

Mail messages sent between Bloomberg users are supported for archiving. The following types of metadata are supported for each mail message:

• Message ID
• Sender
• Subject
• Body
• Greeting
• Disclaimer
• File Attachments

Instant Bloomberg

Instant Bloomberg messages are supported for archiving. The following types metadata are supported for each message: 

• Sender
• Recipients
• Message Content
• File Attachments

Getting Setup

Bloomberg

To enable archiving you must coordinate with Bloomberg to configure the following items:

• Bloomberg SFTP site
• Bloomberg SFTP credentials
• Bloomberg SFTP encryption keys

Nuclei

After enabling archiving in Bloomberg you must create a new feed:

1. Login to https://app.nuclei.ai 
2. Select "Configuration" > "Sources"
3. Select "New"
4. Select "Source Type", then select "Bloomberg"
5. Add a "Description" to the feed
6. Select "Create Source"

Next, you will need to authorize the new feed:

1. Select "Create Authorization"
2. Enter the "SFTP Hostname" provided by Bloomberg
3. Enter the "SFTP Username" provided by Bloomberg 
4. Enter the "SFTP Port" provided by Bloomberg
5. Enter the authentication details provided by Bloomberg
6. Select "Create Authorization"

Uninstallation 

Nuclei

To pause or disable capture:

1. Login to https://app.nuclei.ai 
2. Select "Configuration" > "Sources"
3. Select the desired "Bloomberg" feed
4. De-select "Capture Enabled"
